2025 Cure Coats' 5K (In-Person & Virtual)

We are pleased to announce that the 2025 Cure Coats' 5K is open for registration! We have two options to participate again this year: In-Person and Virtually! All participants will receive a t-shirt and wristband.

About the Event
The Cure Coats' 5K is an annual event raising funds to support the mission of the Jack McGovern Coats' Disease Foundation. By participating and fundraising, YOU are helping us get closer to achieving our vision of finding a cure for Coats' Disease.

Whether you are participating in-person or virtually, invite your friends, family, and loved ones to join you. Together, we can find a cure for Coats' Disease!

In-Person Cure Coats' 5K - NEW LOCATION!
The 2025 Cure Coats' 5K will be held in the GOLDEN GATE PARK, with the start/finish at the Meadow near Pioneer Log Cabin and Blue Heron Lake

Address: 2 Blue Heron Lake Drive, San Francisco, CA 94118

Parking is available around Blue Heron Lake from the MLK Drive entrance. From there, it is a short walk to the Meadow where you will see the registration tents. Alternatively, there is street parking on Fulton.

Virtual Cure Coats' 5K
For those participating virtually, the Virtual 5K will be held from June 21 - June 28, 2025. You choose your activity: run, walk, bike, golf - whatever you can do to reach the 5K distance!

There are plenty of ways to do this 5K! Here are a few ideas for non-runners to reach the 5K distance:

• Walk a round of golf
• Jump rope for 33 minutes
• Dance for 46 minutes
• Yoga for 124 minutes
• Pilates for 62 minutes
• Tennis for 31 minutes
• Play basketball for 62 minutes

Assumption of Risk
By participating in the 2025 Cure Coats' 5K, you expressly agree to comply with any and all rules and safety guidelines put in place by local authorities and voluntarily assume all risks related to the event, waiting all claims and potential claims against the event organizers and their affiliated companies and organizations relating to such risks.

Participants are now able to build their own 5K fundraising team website to raise awareness and money for the Cure Coats' 5K.

Once you register online (for both in-person and virtual participants), you will be able to create your own team fundraising page and can invite others to support you! Easy-to-follow instructions will be emailed to you immediately after you register for the Cure Coats' 5K.
